Graduate Institute of Biotechnology was previously established as Graduate Institute of Biotechnology in 2001. Undergraduate program of Department of Life Science began to recruit students in 2004. Department of Biological Science & Biotechnology was started in 2011 by merging the Master and Undergraduate program of these two units.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Academic research in this department is emphasized in four areas, including Animal Model and Embryo Technology, Plant and Microbial Biotechnology, Biological Resources and Molecular Diagnostics, and Natural Product Investigation. The department offered both B.S. degree and master degree in Agriculture. In addition to biotechnology-related knowledge, we offer practical training programs that provide interdisciplinary learning and are closely cooperated with industries especially those located in Ping Tung Agricultural Biotechnology Park. Moreover, the department contains international programs that are allied with colleges of other countries.
